I don’t have a lot of time to read books. I barely find enough time in the mornings for reading my favorite blogs. One of the first things I did when I got my iPod was to subscribe to Audible.com. I have been getting two books a month for the past several years. It is wonderful to again be able to “read” books while I’m doing the other things that used to get in the way of my finding time to read, like house chores, long commutes, etc.

However, I am becoming increasingly more disappointed at the choice of books offered by not just Audible, but audio books in general. It takes time and money to turn print into audio, to be sure. I just wish I could find more books that I could listen to about education. I searched for Good to Great by Jim Collins, anything by Ryszard Kapuscinski, Dan Pink’s A Whole New Mind, anything by Robert Marzano—nothing. I’ve already “read” The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman, Blink and the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, The Long Tail by Chris Anderson, but I want more! Reading blogs that mention certain authors or books sends me on disappointing searches for audio books. Anyone have some good suggestions that are in audiobook format?
